Joel Meadows
Joel Meadows has crafted the premiere journalistic comics publication, TRIPWIRE for over 21 years. Starting in 1981, he’s combined both a flair for writing about comics that were about to set the world on fire with an uncanny sense of design and presentation of that story. Joel has continuously been at the crest of the wave of what became popular after he reported it, a sensation that few reporters seem to be able to accomplish.
A little known fact about comics reporting is that if you want to actually capture the moment when a creative spark happens you’ll need that instant, that moment frozen. Joel has done just that with an immense and incredibly diverse array of photos that no one else dared to take. It is as much a part of his signature as his byline.
